Nutty Granola

Granola is a simple and delicious breakfast, but for people on a grain free diet it is not an option. What I am showing you here is as tasty as granola but without all the grains and sugars, You can eat this plain as a snack or you can serve it with some Greek yogurt for some added protein and probiotics. Be aware that since you are getting a cereal without the grains that you are getting one higher in calories, granted it is healthy fat, but we still want to keep the levels of fat in check. for that reason you do not want to eat too much of this at a time.


  • 1/3 Cup raw pumpkin seeds

  • 1/3 Cup raw sunflower seeds

  • 2/3 Cup raw pecans

  • 2/3 Cup unsweetened shredded coconut

  • 1/4 Cup chia seeds

  • 2 Tbsp butter or coconut oil

  • 1 Tbsp cinnamon

  • 1 tsp stevia liquid

  • 1 tsp vanilla


  1. Melt the butter or oil in a skillet over medium heat

  2. Break the pecans up a little bit and add them into the pan

  3. Add sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, coconut and cinnamon

  4. Cook on medium heat for about 10 minutes or until toasted lightly. Add the chia seeds in the last few minutes of cooking.

  5. Remove from heat and add in the vanilla extract and stevia and stir really well.

  6. Serve with some milk, milk substitute or yogurt.

There are about 293 calories in a ΒΌ cup.
