I have been working on keeping track of what I eat, not only for the calories I am eating but to see what I am eating that may not be sitting well with me. I know I need to journal all this stuff and I want to, but I have a hard time actually being consistent with it. Is there a better way to do this?
First off, there may be some reason you do not want to do this. You say you want to do this, but if you did then you would be doing it. Be honest with yourself. Are you possibly not wanting to know this information because you will see that you are eating more than your body needs? Or maybe you do not want to actually come to terms with something that is working well in your system. I say this from a place of love because I understand, I have done this too. Once you know what is going wrong, if you don't fix it you will feel really bad about yourself.
You need to understand that knowing what is bothering your system is not the end of the world. If it is dairy then you will either find something to substitute it with or you will get something to help your body digest it better so you can still have some of it. Do you want to feel better? Do you want to get healthier? If the answer is yes then do it!
You have so many options. You can use one of the many apps available for your phone. A program on your computer, a printed one, or even just a note pad or plain document on your computer. With all these options, there will be a way that you like to keep track more than others that will make it plenty easy. Check out this article on journaling to get a better idea about the process.
