Bacon and Avocado Deviled Eggs

Everyone loves deviled eggs and everyone loves bacon, this just seems like a no brainer win/win. Now deviled eggs are never a lean dish, that is probably why it is so dang popular at get together’s, but you can at least make a healthier choice on the types of fats you use. This has avocado and vegenaise verses the regular mayonnaise so it at least has some healthy fats. This is a great snack to take to a party where your friends do not like health food. I have found that with the bacon no one will suspect they are better for you than the normal deviled eggs.


  • 12 Eggs
  • 1 Avocado
  • 2 Tbsp Vegenasie
  • 1/2 Tbsp smoked Paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 Cup green onions
  • 1/2 Cup bacon bits (Turkey or Bacon)
  • 1 Tbsp Powdered mustard
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp lemon juice


        1. Boil eggs in water mixed with 1/4 cup of salt for 10 minutes
        2. Cool under really cold water for at least 3 minutes
        3. Set eggs in the fridge for at least 3 hours
        4. Peel all eggs and cut in half
        5. Use a spoon to take the yolk out of the egg and place in a bowl
        6. Chop up the green onions
        7. Mash up the egg yolks with the vegenaise, bacon bits, avocado, spices, salt, onions and lemon juice.

        There are 59 calories in each egg half
