Do I have to do all my exercise in one shot or is it just as beneficial to do a set here and there when I have time throughout the day?
There are pro's and cons to each. Doing more workout at one time can be good because it will be better to get your heart rate up. You do not get that cardiovascular benefit as much when you are just doing one set at a time. Also when you workout all at once you can take your muscles to a certain level of fatigue, which can be good for muscle growth. That being said, if you are more likely to be consistent and do your workouts if you split them up into one set at a time, then do that. The most important thing is that you find a way that you can be consistent and get your workouts in. Be honest about what you will actually stick with and what you enjoy. If it is grueling and not enjoyable it tends to be harder for people to stick with.
